How we became a business.

Austin Pet Memorial Center is a family owned business. Most people ask us how we got into the pet cremation business? The answer to this question is that we are pet parents, and like all pet parents we suffered a pet loss. Our beloved pets, Buster and Shellie were Shelties, and lived with us for 14 years. One day Buster just couldn’t get up, and we were faced with that terrible moment of truth. We knew that we had to help Buster, but we also knew that Shellie would suffer without him there. In the end we had them both euthanized together, our experience was very empty. Pet loss support wasn’t available, and we felt empty and lost without any help.

When we first heard about pet loss, we found the Pet Loss Professionals Alliance (PLPA) and saw how many pet loss professionals were changing the pet loss process and we knew that we could help fill the pet loss void in pet care services. We then started a two year process that lead to Austin Pet Memorial Center. Our focus is unique to the pet loss profession, we represent the growing number of Pet Parents. Our primary mission is to provide a resource for Pet Parents with a dedicated facility to help remember, memorialize and honor there pets.
We are proud of our motto, “Because our pets are family”, because we share that common bond with all Pet Parents. Our promise is to always remember that special place that our pets fill in each of our hearts.


Cremation Operations Manager

Brian Hutchinson, is our Cremation Operations Manager, and is a certified cremation specialist.  Brian graduated from Clements High School in Houston Texas, and is currently continuing his education.  As our Cremation Operations Manager, he is responsible for the our pick-up scheduling, cremation operations, regulatory compliance, and final prep and packaging.
Brian’s pet is Buddy, a larger than expected Sheltie.


Marketing and Business Development

Linda is our Business Development Director, and the heart of our family business.  Linda is a graduate of Kansas State University, and she grew up in Kansas City, Ks.   Linda is in charge of our social and business development.  You will find Linda making calls to our vet partners to ensure that we are always in touch with our business partnerships.  Linda is Mom to our two children,  Laura and Brian.  Brian is also a member of our team.  Laura is happy to assist us between her schedule.
Linda is pet parent to Scotty and Buddy.


Director of On-line Marketing

Laura keeps up with the social media component of APMC.  Although she is an Aggie living behind the “orange curtain”, she considers herself the proudest member of the Fighting Texas Aggies Class of 2007. She does not like writing biographies, which is why this is short. She is the proud owner of Sir Winston Churchill, the cutest Cavalier King Charles Spaniel in the world.


Cremation Operations Manager

Chuck is a graduate of Mountain State University with a B.S. in business development.  He has experience in both the private and public sectors.  Chuck spent 23 years working for the City of Houston in enforcement services.  Upon retirement, he was a Senior Security Manager for Crescent Real Estate, and a National Director of Security/Life Safety for The Hanover Company.  Chuck is a Certified Pet Loss Professional (CPLP) and a certified cremation specialist.


General Manager

Olivia came to Austin Pet Memorial Center in 2016.   Olivia currently keeps our office running smoothly and is the pleasant voice you hear when you call our center.
Olivia came to us with experience in the field of healthcare and hospice care.  She graduated from the Health Training Services program through Texas State University in San Marcus.  She has 2 children – Maylonee and Angel and 2 for-babies.  Her fur-babies are a rabbit named Willie and a Yorkie-Pincher named Rosie.
